This is the mandatory 5 days’ notice of the calling of a special meeting for Monday, August 6th at 7pm at the Jackson County Courthouse Annex at 308 W. Kansas, Independence, MO. A Jackson County judge has vacated the filing for the sheriff’s primary election and called for the party committees to nominate their respective candidates. 

Therefore this special meeting is called for the express purpose of nominating our Republican candidate for the election for Jackson County Sheriff. The election will be November 6, 2018.

Nominations from the floor will be received without speeches. Candidates’ whose names are entered into nomination will have 5 minutes to speak. This meeting has one purpose and no other business will be entertained. 

While this meeting will be open to the public and the media, only Jackson County Republican Committee Members will be allowed to vote per statute.
