On Monday, August 6, the Jackson County Republican Committee met at the Jackson County Courthouse Annex at 308 W. Kansas in Independence, MO, and elected David J. Bernal as our candidate on the first ballot. There were three nominations: Randy Poletis, David J. Bernal and Bob Powell. David J. Bernal received 29 votes, Randy Poletis 6 and Bob Powell 0.
A Quorum was present.

The Jackson County Republican Committee will elect new officers: Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer on Tuesday, August 21st at 7pm at the Jackson County Courthouse Annex Bldg at 308 W. Kansas in Independence, MO.
If you were elected in the Aug 7 primary as a Committeeman or Committeewoman by filing or by write-in, please attend this meeting. If you did not file with the County Clerk and won your office by write in, please bring the $25 filing fee to the re-organization meeting payable to the Jackson County Republican Committee. All committee members will be sworn in and a new term will commence with the election of new officers.Read more
This is the mandatory 5 days’ notice of the calling of a special meeting for Monday, August 6th at 7pm at the Jackson County Courthouse Annex at 308 W. Kansas, Independence, MO. A Jackson County judge has vacated the filing for the sheriff’s primary election and called for the party committees to nominate their respective candidates.
Therefore this special meeting is called for the express purpose of nominating our Republican candidate for the election for Jackson County Sheriff. The election will be November 6, 2018.Read more

Join us for our 2018 event as we commemorate Missouri’s participation in World War One.
We are excited to announce historian Dr. William Federer as our guest speaker to speak on Missouri's involvement in the Great War. We will also be having a living historian associated with the World War One Museum and Memorial coming to share with us about Missourians who made an impact in the War and about the weaponry that was used during the War.
In addition, look forward to an evening of drawings (including tickets to the WWI Museum and Memorial), music, historical artifacts, and fun for all!
Please bring a picnic meal and lawn chairs, if desired. Attendance is free and open to all.
